Birth Doula Support
It’s Your Body, Your Baby, Your Birth
PRENATAL SUPPORT
As a professionally trained childbirth educator, and a provisional Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator, I will collaborate with you and your partner to ensure you have the information, support and access needed to stay comfortable, active and present throughout pregnancy. Two prenatal meetings will offer time together to share your desired birth vision, create a labor support plan, and address any questions or concerns along the way. In addition, I provide 24/7 phone, email, and text support to both expecting parents to ensure that you feel fully prepared and supported for labor.
LABOR & BIRTH SUPPORT
As an experienced birth doula, I will provide continuous in-person, emotional support and physical comfort measures throughout labor. I will advocate for your labor support plan, and hold space to process and decide consensual next steps towards the birth of your baby. I am committed to staying within my scope of practice and working as a team player with your nurses and medical providers. Once your baby is born, I will be able to use my lactation counselor training to protect and foster the amazing experience of skin-to-skin, and initiate your feeding style preference. I will remain with you, your partner and baby for 1-2 hours after birth.
POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
As a mother of two, a postpartum doula and an infant care specialist, we will work together to create and implement a postpartum support plan for your new family’s needs. I will provide unconditional support, encouragement and referrals as you recover and transition back into your home. During the in-person postpartum visit, I will ensure your family has everything it needs to feel healthy and cared for. I will provide lactation support, offer baby care suggestions, and answer any questions or concerns.
